I am Renee Funderburg, the proud principal of Argyle West Elementary, which I opened in 2019. I have over 30 years of experience in education. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University. I have a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and I completed coursework at UNT to obtain my Superintendent's certification. I was an administrator in Lewisville ISD before coming to Argyle where I have been a principal for many years.
My husband, Scott, is a Battalion Chief in Flower Mound. My son, Braden, is also an engineer/paramedic for the Flower Mound Fire Department. We enjoy spending time at our ranch in Central Texas and traveling with friends. We also love playing with our silver lab, Lacy.

Brady Bell
My name is Brady Bell. I am the Assistant Principal here at Argyle West Elementary. This is my 14th year in the district where I have worn many hats. I have taught Science, Computer, and PE all at the Intermediate school and have coached volleyball, basketball, and golf at the high school. I have been a coach of 6 teams that have won state championships here in Argyle: three in girl's basketball and three in boy's golf. In 2018, I transitioned into an administrative role at the Intermediate campus becoming the first Assistant Principal at this campus. In 2019, I was part of the Administrative Staff that opened Argyle West Elementary.
I was born and raised in the North Texas area in the small community of Nocona and come from a long line of Texans, making me a 9th generation Texan. I played college golf and graduated from East Central University with a degree in Education and completed my Masters degree at Lamar University. Prior to moving to Argyle in 2009, I worked five years in Nocona where I taught and coached. I am a second-generation educator. My dad spent 40 years in various educational roles: teacher, coach, principal, and assistant superintendent. I love being a part of helping children grow and helping lead them to become responsible and successful adults.
Brandi, my wife of 16 years, also works here in the district as a 4th grade ELAR teacher. Our kids, Breecia (12) is a third-grader at Hilltop and our son Maverick (8) is a kindergartner at Hilltop. We have one Welch Corgi dog named Charlie and an Australian Shepherd named Bandit.
